Goldens Available for Adoption through KGRR

Please consider sending in an application even if no dogs are listed on this page. Often we do not have the opportunity to list dogs or post their pictures, as they may be adopted out quickly to approved homes who already have an adoption application on file with us.

Rusty ~ A beautiful 8 year old Golden Boy. He's housebroken, up to date on shots and neutered. He's getting along great in his foster home with 3 other golden kids.... Wouldn't you like to adopt a "mature" golden? One that has manners and a great personality? Like they say in rescue, "old gold is the best gold"

Heidi ~ another of our "mature" goldens - She is the sweetest girl ever! She's 10 years old and gets along great with other dogs and cats. Heidi has some extra weight on her and needs help on steps, so we're recommending a home without steps or maybe 1 to 2 to access an outside potty area. She's secure on carpeting - linoleum or hardwood floors make her nervous. However, she loves to go for her daily walks around the block and she will remind you! One thing we all hear the most in rescue is that people don't want to adopt an "older" dog. They want a younger dog that they will have for years to come. Think about the older ones. They are wonderful and there is NEVER any guarantee that a younger one is going to live longer than a older one.

An approved Adoption Application must be on file before we will discuss the available dogs.

Rescue Me

"Once someone has had the good fortune to share a true love affair with a Golden Retriever, one's life and one's outlook are never quite the same again. A warm afterglow remains that lasts a lifetime."
- Betty White, from Arthur Vanderbilt's book, Golden Days.
