Champ
April 2003
Champ came to the rescue the way many of our Goldens do, through a shelter. He was from Indiana, PA and while we have little insight into his previous years, Champ brought with him a tail that wagged nonstop, a loving disposition, and a playful attitude. Soon we discovered that Champ had incurable lymphoma and that his days with us were going to be limited. All the while he never whined, he never growled. We gave him all the love and care as if he were
always going to be with us. He spent precious hours in the backyard, playing ball with his young protege, Archie. When the end came, it was in the loving arms of the people he came to know as his family. While we can only hope Champ had a good life, it is of great solace to know that his last days were spent in comfort and peace. You truly were a Champ.

Golden Memories
They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million
times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you
never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in
death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no
one else could fill.
If tears could build a stairway and
heartache make a lane.
I'd walk the path to Heaven and
bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and
nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us back one by
one, the chain will link again.

To our Golden Retriever, Shawnee
I sit and try to write the words, I want your heart to hear. Hoping to find some comfort, in the fact that you’re not here. I still look for you knowing you've died. I do believe with all my heart, that your soul has gone to be,With all the other angel dogs, that you were meant to see. We will have to stay behind, until God calls us too, So do not be afraid, that he's only called for you.
-Tina, Shawnee’s mommy |

Bronson - July 20, 2003
to September 27, 2007:
He was truly, the sweetest dog,
I have ever known! Softhearted: is how I would best desribe
him, in one word. Silly yes, but he was afraid of jello.
The best little brother our Rusty could have. Our little
boy's very best friend, who misses him deeply. Our little
girl's snuggle buddy. Always by my side no matter when
or where. Always waiting at the door for us to come home.
Always there, he was taken away much to early! But we
were so lucky to have him. We will miss and love him forever.
Goodbye "Bronsey",
Bronson's family |
